Remote Area Medical (RAM) To Offer Free Dental, Vision, Medical Services At Camp Jordan Nov. 16, 17
- Remote Area Medical (RAM) will offer free healthcare from a variety of specialists at Camp Jordan Park in East Ridge on Nov. 16 and 17. Bob Nevil said services include free dental (filling, extraction or cleaning), free vision (eye exam and eyeglasses) and free medical services (also women's health). It is open to the public with no identification required. There are no fees and no eligibility requirements, Mr. Nevil said. It is first come, first served with no guarantee of services. Austin American-Statesman - A man in his 60s was hospitalized after falling more than 20 feet into a canyon at Milton Reimers Ranch Park early Saturday, Austin-Travis County EMS medics reported.Medics said the man slipped on rocks and fell down a trail and into the canyon at around 9 a.m.First responders reached the man about a quarter-mile down the trail and took him by helicopter to Dell Seton Medical Center, EMS medics said.The man's injuries were considered serious but not life-threatening, medics said.
