Panel discussion to tackle marijuana regulations

Midland Daily News - A group of panelists from across the state will gather in Midland this Thursday to discuss the future of marijuana regulations and "opting in" options. The panel for the "Educational Cannabis Town Hall" will include representatives from the cannabis industry answering questions about the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affair's new Marijuana Regulatory Agency, which licenses and establishes the new rules for the medical and recreational marijuana markets in Michigan. Pam Hall - hosted by Progressives, a Midland-based activist group - will moderate the panel from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Grace A. Dow Library auditorium. "A lot of people have misinformation about marijuana, as far as the abuse of it or the legality of it to begin with," said Hall. Attendance for the event is free and open to the general public.
