BREAKING: Shooting sends one man to the hospital

KHQ NBC Spokane - A man is in the hospital after getting shot in the stomach after a fight in North Spokane.Spokane Police Officers responded to Monroe and Maxwell for a shooting. The shooting victim was lying in the middle of the intersection, suffering from a gunshot wound in his torso. Officers provided medical aid to the male until Medics arrived and took over treatment.A Washington State Tropper was in the area during the shooting and contacted the shooter. The man who fired the shot had remained at the scene and was cooperative with the police.After conducting an investigation Officers learned that the shooting victim was involved in some kind of domestic situation at a nearby apartment complex. As he was leaving the area on foot, he had another confrontation with the shooter. San Antonio Express-News - PIGEON - Thumb residents have new options for medical care in the Pigeon area. Scheurer Hospital, this week, opened a new facility for podiatry, otolaryngology, urology, and general surgery. And the hospital is already seeing new patients. An old conference center located at 135 N. Caseville Road - across the street from Scheurer's main campus - was transformed into the new medical area, with the space now holding a waiting area and exam rooms with state-of-the-art technology. The new facilities will be called the Scheurer Specialty Clinic. Clark Ramsey, the hospital's marketing and public relations director, said the remodeling work started on Jan. 1 after they recruited a new podiatrist, Natalya Salowich, DPM, and were looking for a space to put her. The space, which Scheurer has owned for 15 years, was previously used for community fitness classes and could be rented out.
