Boy, 9, among victims of domestic violence stabbing

Houston Chronicle - SEATTLE (AP) ? Authorities say a 9-year-old boy and two women were taken to a hospital after a triple stabbing in Seattle. KOMO reports officers were called to the scene in North Seattle just after 10 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a domestic violence attack involving a knife. Det. Patrick Michaud says when officers and medics arrived, they found three people with stab wounds -- a 27-year-old woman, a 67-year-old woman and the 9-year-old boy. All three were rushed to Harborview Medical Center where the two women were said to be in critical condition, while the boy's vital signs were stable. Investigators believe the 27-year-old woman is the attacker.

Daily Beast - Reuters A suspect is in custody after "multiple victims" were injured Wednesday morning in a stabbing incident at a Tallahassee industrial park, police told The Daily Beast. The Tallahassee Police Department responded to reports of a stabbing at Dyke Industries, a wholesale building material supplier, around 8:37 a.m. Upon entering the building, officers "discovered multiple stabbing victims and provided immediate medical attention" before apprehending the suspect, police said.  It was not immediately clear whether the individual is an employee. Dyke Industries employees told ABC Tallahassee that the suspect is a former worker who had recently been fired. Danbury News-Times - WINDSOR LOCKS - Police were able to take a despondent 53-year-old man who claimed to have a gun in a local hotel room into custody without incident Tuesday afternoon, reports said. The man was in a room at the Candlewood Suites on Ella Grasso Boulevard when police were alerted by the Veterans Administration doctors in Tennessee that a patient working on a project in Connecticut was having a medical issue, according to WFSB. Firefighters discovered the body around 11 p.m. Wednesday on the passenger side of a burning minivan along the street near 59th and Parnell in Englewood. Police: Man who hit head on ground after violent shove dies

AP - STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) - Police in Connecticut are investigating the death of a homeless man they say hit his head on the ground after a violent shove during an argument. Stamford police say they responded to a "tumultuous scene" at about 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 5 and found a man down on the sidewalk going in and out of consciousness and surrounded by several people. Police tell the Stamford Advocate that the man, 43-year-old Leobardo Quintero, was taken to the hospital and declared brain dead. He was taken off life support on Tuesday. The medical examiner ruled that Quintero died of a blunt impact injury to the head and the manner of death was homicide. Investigators are looking for the person who pushed Quintero.
