Minneapolis Star Tribune - Seifert, Dr. John Dupont, MD of Garland, Texas died October 11, 2019 of complications from pulmonary fibrosis. He is survived by wife, Sheila Nilan; his son John, wife Terry; daughter Heidi; son Chris, wife Robbi; son Mark; son Tim, wife Candice; son Jason, wife Tara; son Nick, wife Kristine; 24 loving grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was born October 5, 1937 in Minneapolis, MN to Dr. Milton and Laura Seifert. John grew up in Excelsior, MN surrounded by his 6 brothers and sister. He was preceded in death by brothers Jack, Peter and Greg and is survived by brothers Milton, Paul, Tom and sister Mary. John attended St. Thomas Military Academy; College of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN, and received his medical degree from Marquette University Medical School in Milwaukee, WI. He began his medical practice by joining his father and brothers at the Seifert clinic in Excelsior, MN. John served in the Army during the Vietnam war as a captain at Fort Sam, San Antonio, Texas. A worker who fell down three stories after the Hard Rock Hotel under construction in New Orleans partially collapsed was detained by immigration officials two days later, his spokesperson and immigration authorities said. Delmer Ramirez-Palma was one of more than a dozen workers who were injured at the construction site on Oct. 12. At least two people were killed.
