Business Insider - Google has finally absorbed the healthcare arm of AI firm DeepMind, the British company it acquired in 2016 for £400 million ($500 million). The integration is happening some 10 months after Google originally announced it. DeepMind Health is now officially part of Google's dedicated healthcare unit, Google Health, which is headed up by big-name healthcare CEO David Feinberg. The announcement comes one month after the DeepMind cofounder who had headed up its health business, Mustafa Suleyman, confirmed he was on a leave of absence from the business for reasons that are unclear. The integration brings DeepMind's controversial Streams app, a non-AI service that helps medical practitioners monitor patients with a kidney condition, under Google Health's management. Greenwich Time - STAMFORD-Police say the unidentified body of a black man was found floating Stamford's Westcott Cove harbor late Tuesday afternoon. The body was found by a passing boater and called into 911 dispatch at 5:10 p.m. and was recovered at West Beach about 10 minutes later. The man, who had no identification on his body, was between 20 to 30 years old and was fully clothed. Investigators could find no signs of trauma, Captain Richard Conklin said. The man was being carried along with an outgoing tide in the harbor channel just off the boat loading ramp at West Beach near the Seaview House Marina. The body has been in the water for a number of days, Conklin said. It was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Farmington for an autopsy to determine if the man perished by drowning or some other way. Sgt. Chris DiCarlo said the man was wearing a light and dark gray striped Tommy Hilfiger short-sleeved T-shirt and a blue sweatshirt with the brand "Champion" written across

Houston Chronicle - DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) ? A prosecutor says a man accused of killing his wife was a man irate over her affair and fearful that he'd lose their farm if she divorced him. Testimony resumed Wednesday after opening statements for the trial of 43-year-old Todd Mullis. He's charged with first-degree murder in the slaying of 39-year-old Amy Mullis on Nov. 10 at the farm about 4 miles (7 kilometers) northwest of Earlville. He reported that she'd accidentally fallen on a corn rake, but prosecutors say medical evidence showed she'd been stabbed in the back with it. The Telegraph Herald reports that Mullis' attorneys don't dispute that Amy Mullis was killed but say there is reasonable doubt about who killed her. Prosecutor Maureen Hughes said Tuesday that being a farmer meant everything to Todd Mullis, and he "had to find a way to keep that farm." Defense attorney Gerald Feuerhelm agreed the farm was important to Todd Mullis, "but not so important that he would murder the mother of his children.
